Our Elite Partner Tuning Centres around the world have access to our proprietary, cloud-based Tractive Valve Tuning System calculation software. This software lets the tuner observe the true response at the wheel when considering the rider's weight, the bike's leverage rate and the damper curve generated by a specific tune.

The Tractive tune takes an already great shock and really does improve it. For me on my bikes it has added suppleness off the top, more support and a smooth bottomless feel. For the past year I have been riding the Tractive tune. The contrast between what was my typical riding/tuning routine before and after has been pretty remarkable. After a couple of rides on the tune I added a small amount of LSC and sped up the rebound a little. That was the
last time I touched dials. This tune has allowed me to actually set it and forget, which is really saying something considering how I am constantly analyzing my suspension. Whether it’s hitting big jump lines or riding natural tech, the damping feels on point and I have never felt like there was something left to be desired. My impression is that this is due to the concept behind the tuning being sound as well as the process itself. All too often the process is simplified to the point where it can’t capture a specific rider’s preferences. There aren’t only three types of riders out there and this takes that into account.

Who is the Tractive Valve Tuning System for the Super Deluxe NOT suited for:
- Riders who already exceed the maximum rated air pressure of their shock. You need a different shock, sorry! However, a Super Deluxe Coil may be for you.
- Riders who want a firmer-than-stock lockout. The Tractive system offers a firm compression mode rather than a lockout for climbing traction, but if a near-rigid lockout is non-negotiable, look elsewhere. We don't firm up the lockout because it inhibits performance of the shock when unlocked.
- Riders who want to service their damper at home. The Tractive kit for Super Deluxe is not available for self-install or self-service as it requires both a vacuum bleeder and a nitrogen charging system to install.
- Riders who are using the air version of the Super Deluxe on a frame that is excessively progressive or otherwise completely unsuited to air shocks. These will work better with a Super Deluxe coil shock.
|When should I consider getting a revalve?||If rider weight varies by more than 10kg (20lbs) or the shock is moved to another frame, then consider a revalve. Revalves will be performed by us at the cost of a standard service.|
|Can my shock be serviced by my LBS after tuning?||
Your LBS will require a vacuum bleeder for Monarch Plus shocks, and a nitrogen charging system with a hypodermic needle fitting for both Monarch Plus and Super Deluxe shocks. If your LBS has these, they can email us (service@vorsprungsuspension.
